(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) April 29, 2009--New Sparrow recording artist Sarah Reeves continues promotional efforts supporting her debut album Sweet, Sweet Sound, now in stores. Among the momentum around Reeves first label offering, Sweet, Sweet Sound debuted at No. 5 this week on SoundScan’s Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart, while its current radio single, and title track, recently exceeded one million myspace plays.
Besides visiting radio stations in Alabama, Illinois and Missouri during street week, Reeves made an appearance at the annual Gospel Music Association convention as well as in her hometown of Decatur, Ala. for a CD release concert on Tuesday, April 21. Earlier this week, she also debuted music from her new record for a live studio audience on LeSEA Broadcasting’s “Live From Studio B,” seen in more than 45 million homes.
The national exposure has proven beneficial for Reeves, who is overwhelmed by the extraordinary response from supporters.“I'm so thankful and excited about the release of my record,” says Reeves. “Words cannot describe how overwhelmingly blessed I feel to be able to share what God has given me to the nations, to see hearts touched and lives changed. All the glory goes to my creator and the lover of my soul."
Written in conjunction with Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters, including two-time SESAC Songwriter of the Year, Jason Ingram (Brandon Heath, Rush Of Fools, Tenth Avenue North), Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Laura Story), Matt Bronleewe (Rebecca St. James, Plumb), and Marc Byrd (Leeland), Sweet, Sweet Sound was produced by Dove Award-winning producer Ian Eskelin (Francesca Battistelli, Krystal Meyers) and Matt Bronleewe. The result is a song collection which speaks to the heart of who Reeves is and her earnest desire for an effective ministry. Most recently Reeves wrapped the “Wonder of the World” tour featuring headliner Rush of Fools, and her current radio single, “Sweet, Sweet Sound,” is presently No. 25 on the Radio & Records AC Indicator chart and No. 27 on its AC Monitored chart. The album’s second single, “Come Save,” will release to radio stations nationwide shortly.
With zealous faith and a love of music early on, Reeves first exercised her songwriting/vocal abilities as a participant in her church’s fine arts program. Consistently placing first at local as well as regional competitions, Reeves was moved by the receptiveness of young people to her message—one of power and freedom in the Holy Spirit. She has since made it her goal to serve God by leading young people into a lifestyle of worship and adoration to Him. Reeves is managed by Patton House Entertainment, with booking through Jeff Robert & Associates. For more information on Sarah Reeves, visit www.sarahreeves.net.
